Torrey Trust

Torrey Trust is a doctoral candidate in the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education at the University of California Santa Barbara. She has a M.A. in Educational Technology from San Diego State University. Her research focuses on the sociocultural influences that shape teacher participation, knowledge sharing, and help-seeking in online communities of practice. Her research has been published in ASCD Express, the Journal of Digital Learning in Teacher Education, and the International Journal of Social Media and Interactive Learning Environments.

Trust is the founder of the K-12 Tech Tools wiki, which has been visited over 150,000 times since 2011. In 2012, Trust launched a new e-course for K-12 teachers about building Professional Learning Networks (http://edpln.wikispaces.com) and teachers from around the world have enrolled to participate. She has also worked as an Instructional Designer, Technology Coordinator for an elementary school, and freelance website designer.
