“Thinking Like the Web: A Conversation with Jon Udell” will be hosted online by the free online course, “Connected Courses,” Oct. 23.
Udell is an author, information architect, software developer and new media innovator. “He’s on a mission to bring the surprising effectiveness of ‘thinking like the web’ to non-techies everywhere,” said W. Gardner Campbell, vice provost for Learning Innovation and Student Success and associate professor of English at Virginia Commonwealth University and a Connected Courses instructor who will interview Udell on the webinar.
The webinar is part of Unit 3 — “The World Wide Web From Concept to Platform to Culture” — of the six-unit Connected Courses class. The unit is being taught by Campbell; Laura Hilliger, training and curriculum lead at Mozilla Foundation; Kim Jaxon, assistant professor of English at Chico State; Chris Mattia, director of academic technology at Cal State Channel Islands; and Howard Rheingold, digital media expert and educator.
